Configure an agent host

Let Meta-Architect detect the host

ma setup

Select a host explicitly

Use MA_AGENT when more than one host is installed or when you are setting up from a non-interactive shell:

MA_AGENT=claude-code ma setup

MA_AGENT=cursor ma setup

The selected surface is recorded in .ma/prelaunch.json. Meta-Architect keeps user-owned configuration intact and reports unsupported capabilities.

Host-specific command syntax

Codex and several CLI hosts use $maestro. Claude Code and some IDE hosts use their own native command or prompt surface. Do not paste a Codex command into a different host; use the generated host guidance.
